INTRODUCTION:

School: Bell Manor Elementary

Grade: 4th

Something Interesting About Me is...

Since I was little, like my dad, I've always adored exploring. I like to figure out a way up, down, and around any obstacle. It's always been second nature for me, I love climbing rocks, cliffs, trees, mountains, and pretty much anything and everything. I ride motorcycles, I hike, I climb, I tube, and I enjoy it all. My mom and brother would be hanging out at the pool, while my dad and I would be making memories looking for and creating adventures. It's always been like that, and that's how I like it. I observe and love the out doors and all activities in it, and that is just me. I find adventures in everything.

My favorite subject is...

My favorite subject is writing and art, ever since I could hold a crayon I have been

coloring and drawing. I have always been interested in art since I could understand it because it was so natural, unique, and beautiful. And then there's writing, I remember when I wrote my first story I loved it because I could write down anything I wanted to and it would make since to anybody who read it.

I've loved both of these subjects since I was a toddler and still love them now because I can see, write about, and draw the beauty in this world.

I show my strength in…

I show my strength in gymnastics. Ever since I was 4 years old I have been doing gymnastics and have loved it. This year I'm a level five and can still remember when I was in a baby class I love my coaches and my team mates now we have a lot of knew kids but before they came I was the youngest and are one of the 4 level fives in the lots of kids there are. It might just be that I'm focused and excited to learn a new skill. I've gone through 6 coaches over time and learned several different things from each one. A lot of the my team mates are level 2 and are the same age as me but I'm a level 5 because most of them just socialize.

I've never been able to be still, I have to be doing a handstand, pirouette, or something that will keep me moving. This is my third year competing and this year I have to do a fly away on bars, a roundoff back hand spring back flip on floor, and a back walk over on beam. I'm excited to compete and ready to tumble! So it turns out in gymnastics it shows my strength of energetic enthusiasm to learn new things and skills from new people and that I drive great satisfaction from focused practice and success.

I'm excited to learn about…

I'm excited to learn about how the future is going to turn out. Because of all the generations I know about, non of them are the same. Electronics have changed so much. If you look at the first computers, then you look now at lap tops, phones, and tablets you can draw on these things keep getting smaller, smarter, and easier to use. And most of all our environment has changed so dramatically. If you have read little house on the prairie, in the book you rarely saw a house when traveling, now in most places that’s all you see. Last but not least, the cost every thing is very different. Back then you could buy a whole pig for a nickel, now days you can buy one piece of gum, for a nickel. It's crazy how much everything has changed, and probably will change in the future. I hope our future is better rather than worse. Maybe we won't have to pay for anything. |

Something you should know about me and my work is…

I enjoy the satisfaction of good results that come from effort. I play piano, I do gymnastics, I'm a straight A student in school all because I try. I try because I like succeeding and it makes me feel good to learn something new. I'm excited to do a backflip or a handstand on bars, not because my teacher tells me to, but just because I get satisfaction in learning it. I'm excited to learn a new song on the piano, because now I can enjoy the music. I like getting a 100 or a good grade because it makes me feel like I'm doing what I should to succeed. I feel accomplished when I learn something and succeed because I know I did something right in the prosses of trying. It’s a great feeling, I enjoy it when I can.

I'm a explorer, I love to draw and write, I do gymnastics, I'm excited about the future and my part in it, that's why I try. My name is Brooke and this is me.
