I loved the invitation from our Stake President for us to study our scriptures daily and be purposeful about prioritizing our lives. How can we help encourage our sisters in this regard? Also the thought that we have access to the power of God through our covenants and can have faith that as we do our best to live by those covenants, it will be enough. This type of faith brings peace and confidence to our lives, even when we aren't "perfect".

I loved how Elder Alvarado had the primary children and newly called missionary and a returned missionary all on the stand and related how gospel learning doesn’t start when we go on missions but it starts at a young primary age and continues. We all have a part in the progression no matter our current calling or station in life. We can all be influencers and teachers to each other along the covenant path.

I loved Elder Alvarado's interactive style of engaging us. He didn't give us a talk; he involved us in his thinking and got us thinking in the process. It was hard to be in his presence and not feel the Spirit that was present around him!

This past stake conference is one I will never forget. Elder Alvarado’s energy at engaging our youth was incredible. He had their attention! The music from the primary children was precious and brought the spirit. My kids all loved the spirit he carried and knew he was trying to get them to come closer to Christ.
