She can read  the palm on the hands and she can predict people's future. Also this chapter is talking that she has some good furniture. Esperanza went to Elenita  so she could have her palm read. When Elenita read Esperanza palm she see a house but not in material she see inside esperanza heart but esperanza wants to see it in real life.
