Administered via IVI<br>- Salbutamol (Ventolin): medication that opens medium/large airways in the lungs<br>- Ipratropium Bromid (Atrovent): medication that opens medium/large airways in the lungs. Treatment option for COPD and asthma symptoms<br>- Nebuliser: Medication administered as a vapour through a mask<br>- If a nebuliser isn't working, the medication can't enter the PT's airways appropriately. Other medications administered are designed to open airways.</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>- Zoe, Female, 25, part-time waitress<br>- Symptoms : Can't walk, agitated (Hypoxaemic?), dyspnoeic (difficulty breathing, query constriction ), wheezing (indicative of constriction).<br>- Patient refuses to lay down, allowed to sit ( Tripod position to aid in breathing)<br>- A respiratory assessment is required ( Includes interview, inspection, auscultation, palpation, percussion, observation, Ox and RR)<br>- Query fowlers position to easy  breathing instead of tripod position<br>- wheezing can be indicative of COPD, asthma, acute bronchitis, swelling in the airways, mucus in the airways, something stuck in the throat or a growth in the airway.<br>-Pursed lip breathing- exhaling through tightly pressed (<strong>pursed lips</strong>) and inhaling through the nose with the mouth closed. Make your breaths more effective by making them slower and more intentional.<br><br><br></div>]]></description>
