It helped us thing about what the creature would be felling when he saw things for the first time. We used physical theatre to create a park.my group used different sound to make the scene more realistic and believable. It was very challenging because we were not characters but object so we really had to think of what to do. We also had to improvise because we didn't know how the creature would react when he went through the park.

by Jarin

In my group we used physical theatre to create a scene where the creature is abandonded in the city. We stood in a square shape to create an elevator and two people acted as doors. The creature entered and an automatic voice told the creature to press a button. The lift descended. We showed this by bending down and creating sounscape of a rumbling noise which scared the creature causing it to fall. Next the 'doors' rapidly and repaetedly opened and closed whilst the automatic voice repeated "Error Occured." There was silence for a few seconds. Everyone makes explosion sounds as we fall.

Me and my group enterpreted a scence where the creature meet the world. In our play the scence was based on a public mall. The creature saw many objects while he was there, some of them being a tap, a massage chair, bank machine, doors and a hand dryer. When the creature touched those items would break down , and this shows us how the creature is different and separated from the rest of the world. In my group we used physical theatre to present how the creature felt. He mostly felt scared and confused. It was difficult for the creature to communicate and socialize. To make the physical theatre even stronger we used soundscape to add even more detail to the outside world. This emphasises how scary the world is and how hard it is to adapt.

The way we did this was using mirroring to create a very strong effect on the monster because in some way it makes the monster feel more scared and trapped. We also used effective sound effects just like those of an elevator so it is more realistic

In my group we used the styles of physical theatre to set the mood also we showed how the monster was abundant and homeless and didn't have a clue of what was happening so we used two cars bumping into each other with sound scape to show that the alarm had gone off and this would make the creature jump because the creature has never been in like this kind of town and hearing the noises makes him jump. WE also used a clock so the creature would get confused and try to work out what it is and every time it strikes 12 and makes the clock noise it will start to irritate the creature into running away and we also used a flickering street light so when the creature got near the street light would go off and on and amuse the creature as well as frighten it. we also used a tree so if the creature saw the three swifting in the wind it could get frightened into thinking that it was actually someone or thing moving. Last but not least we used fountains we used this to show that if the monster came near the fountain while it was sprinkling it would get soaking wet and would run off.

Firstly Anisa stood at the front of the scene to act out a role as a gate in a park. Then me and Maysha were a tunnel for children to play in. We acted this out buy doing a backwards bridge and when the creature approached us we fell down suddenly.

In my group, we used physical theatre to convey the scene of a park and how difficult normal activities could be for this abnormal creature created by Frankenstein. Before the creature entered the park, he had to cross a road- we made this realistic by acting out a car crash between two cars. When the two cars crashed, we created a soundscape of a car alarm sounding. We did this to alarm the creature. Next, the creature entered the park and was greeted by a water sprinkler. We did this by two people arching their arms to create an arc; when the creature walked through we made water noises and used our fingers to create the effect of water splashing on the creature's head. After that, the abnormity experienced a light flickering on and off. Our group showed this by having one person standing tall with their arms over their head, lifting their head to express the light flickering. Furthermore, we created a tree to show the creature a natural element to juxtapose with him being man-made and not knowing the organic features of the earth.

We could improve our scene by adding more energy when performing and making it clearer when performing, what we are attempting to create. I believe that we could also expand the staging of our performance to emphasise the scale of a park and how overwhelmed Frankenstein's creature would be after being cooped up in a dark and dingy lab.

In drama we re-told the story of Frankenstein using our acting skills. We used skills like soundscape and active movements. We were acting as objects to show what the creature of Frankenstein would've done to them since he just woke up and learnt how to move like a human being by himself. As a self evaluation, I would say that we were compelling enough to engage the audience into our performance and make them feel for the creature as to how he was able to do all of that by himself without any help. I also believe we made a good contribution towards the task by including everyone and by making everyone participate competently. As an EBI, I would say that we needed to add in more of the soundscape and less of the talking.

We first stood away from each other to show that we were having a car crash in the front of the shopping centre. We then slowly moved facing our back toward our classmates back to show that we have became a park with fountains in it. To make it even more exiting and compelling to the audience we make gestures and movement along with sounds. We did this to have more of a outcome to the audience.

Firstly, two people in our group stood by each other with our shoulders touching to represent automatic doors. When the creature walked up to them they opened and frightened the creature. There rest of our group formed different machines such as a massage chair, a ATM, a sink and a toilet. When the creature passed these items they vibrated and moved which confused the creature. To make the physical movements even more effective we used a soundscape for the bathroom and the ATM in the bank like the toilet flushing or the ATM saying 'please insert your card.'
