You might know that somethings are a little off. Like how you can't think straight or see things that aren't real but depending on your mental capacity and your ability to really think understand.... you may not know. Some people just can't see through the cloud of their own world so they probably don't know they are insane. They just think everyone else is being weird. Others have the mental capacity to be able to be able to have clear moments and see that they are doing something wrong. They can see that they were in their own world and can jump back into reality to try and stop what they are doing and fix it before being sucked back in. But overall I think that if someone is considered "insane" they would not know it because then they would have the rationality to counter there "insane-ness." What is sanity and insanity? If you are insane, do you know it?

I think sanity means that you are in full control of your body and your thoughts, but when you are insane you sort of lose control over those things. I don't think you realize that you are insane because you aren't in control.
