About 8,700 openings are projected each year on average, also due to an aging population.

• Bachelor Degree of Applied Science in Diagnostic Medical Sonography: RRCC offers a BAS in Medical Sonography.

• Required for admission: an associates degrees of 60+ full semester credits, clinical internship/externship on transcript, and the passing of national certification/registry exam. The first to semesters of this program are completed at RRCC and the following 3 semesters are spent at assigned clinical sites with asynchronous remote studies.

• Prerequisites required with associates degree: Introduction to sonography, multiplanar sectional imaging, medical terminology, college algebra, anatomy & physiology I & II, English 100, and communications 100.

• Also required is a background check and drug screen.

• Associate of Applied Science Degree is offered by CCD for Surgical Technology.

• Required for admission: the only thing required to apply for this program are prerequisites including: BIO 2101, HPR 1039, ENG 1021, and MAT 1120. You also need Basic Life Support certification from the American Heart Association.

• Other requirements include a background check, drug screen, current physical exam, and certain vaccinations.

• Associate of Applied Science in Surgical Technology.

• Required for Admission: FRCC requires prerequisites including BIO 1010, BIO 1006, ENG 1021, MAT 1140, HPR 1045, BIO 2104, and PSY 2440 with minimum GPA of 2.75. (The last two sources can be in progress when enrolling.

• Other requirements include mandatory immunizations, American Heart Association BLS Provider CPR cards, background check, and drug test.
