The Module focuses on Ethics and Interpersonal communications. Ethics and best practice in the industry are explored by the learner alongside mainstay general legal principles relevant to the industry which underpin ethical values in today’s society. The learner reflects and learns upon how to engage and communicate personally in the industry. Journalistic techniques of research and credible sources are explored and evaluated.

On Completion of this module the learner will/should be able to: 
1. Research industry and ethical topics and content 
2. Assess sources for credibility and relevance for use within media content and the industry 
3. Develop presentation and verbal communication skills relevant to the industry 
4. Demonstrate an awareness of relevant social and ethical issues relevant to the TV and film industries 
5. Demonstrate a basic knowledge of laws underpinning ethical values in the TV and film industries. 

The Module focuses on Ethics and Digital Communications. This includes broadcast and media regulation and other media laws as they apply to the broadcast and commercial release paradigms.

2. Explain and apply principles of broadcast laws, harmful content laws in audiovisual industry, including online; film classification and other media related laws in the relevant industries. 

3. Critically evaluate and analyse cases, case studies and industry scenarios involving relevant law. 

4. Explain and critique decision making methodologies in relation to broadcast, harmful content, classification and other media laws in sound and film productions.
