If they don't have their attention, they won'[t learn. If they don't learn, then they will not have passed their class, and the teacher will have failed to educate them to their potential. Ways that teachers can be engaging include playing interactive review games, asking questions to their students, and spending 1 on 1 time with them seeing if they need individual assistance. What works for me is hands on learning but what might work for Bubba is hearing it or writing it down. Some may need to see an example written out and verbally explained. Still, others may need to read it to fully grasp the concept at hand.

If you do not care about your students and their work, they will not care about theirs either. If you do not have respect for the students they definitely will not respect you either.
