Personally, this was the first time I have ever heard about this "Bloodgate" Lie. After seeing the quick summary of it I inferred that i honestly had no idea if he truly lied or not. I voted a 5 because I was really in between on this one. Yes, the lie makes sense that he might fake an injury to get a fresh player on the field but what extent was he willing to go? He left the field with a mouth full of blood and we are supposed to suspect he did that on purpose? How much physical pain would he endure for the emotional pain of losing a game?

For this case I chose a 1 as it being a very justifiable lie in my opinion. Sarah did not want to hurt her friend's feelings, so she told what is normally called a "white lie". People have different styles and Sarah chose not to offend her friend, as her friend was just being nice and giving her a gift, because it also should be considered that her friend did not have to get her a gift. And if in fact Sarah did offend her friend, she probably would not get a gift next year..

In this case, I gave it a 10 for being totally unacceptable. Every vibe you get from him while watching that summary has guilt written all over it. Bill Clinton lied to save his reputation and actually destroyed it for doing so. Never in any circumstance would a lie to the whole world, be okay.

This last case was a little challenging at first. I ended up choosing that the lie was a 1, as totally justifiable. The people were lying to stand for what they believe in. Yes, they all did die in the end, but they died heroes. If you do not stand for something, you will fall for anything. Their deaths are forever remembered by taking the extra step and not giving in to the enemy.

Case #1.) As a group, we all came to different conclusions and inferences about this case. Me and Courtney were on the side that we were on the fence and did not know if he was actually lying. Avia and Shanita said a number 8 because they believed this lie was morally wrong and should be punished for it.
Case #2.) Avia and Shanita both had a 5 in this case. They believed it was understandable to lie but she might get a similar gift if she keeps lying. Me and Courtney were still pretty similar in this case too. I had a 1 as totally justifiable and Courtney had a 3. We totally understood why she lied and would have done the same thing in her position.
Case #3.) Me, Courtney, and Avia all agreed that this lie was completely, morally wrong. There is no excuse to lie to save your reputation, no matter who you are. Shanita disagreed. She was a 5 on this situation because she believes that he is just human and that we all make mistakes.
Case #4.) I was alone on 1, for totally justifiable for this case. I believe this lie was completely okay because they lied to stand for their hero and protector. Avia, Courtney, and Shanita all agreed on a 4 for this one. They all thought that the lie was kinda the right thing but they all died and this made their answer become more difficult.
