One thing that was good this week was that we had our National Day celebrations and I enjoyed it very much!

One thing that wasn't too good was that now we had the "handing in homework on time" system. Three pink slips and that's it. Some of the classmates already received three pink slips. I felt sorry for them. Now everybody must remember to do and hand in the homework on time!

For a few more days, we will be going back to our classroom on the fourth floor. Actually I would prefer to have the classroom on the first floor. It was the nearest to the canteen, so we always got to buy our food first. Sometimes we could even switch on the air-conditioner! How I wished we could stay on the first floor forever! (Although the classroom is really warm)

This week's lessons were great as we watched a video on movie mistakes in Frozen that I had never noticed at all.

One thing that was good was the National Day celebrations and I really enjoyed it!

One thing that wasn't too good was the thing about the pink slips. Some pupils have already received 3 of it and I hope that I won't receive that many.

One new thing that I learnt was that other than "but" and "however" as contrast connectors, there are still many different type.

This weeks lessons were awesometastic as we got to watch the Frozen movie.

One thing that was not so good was that now we are having the 'handing homework on time' system. Three strikes and you'reeeeeeeeeeeee out! Some of our classmates have already gotten three pink slips or more and have to serve their punishments. I felt sorry for them. We also have the 'neat handwriting' system now. Bad handwriting and you are going to be writing on a alphabet writing book meant for ages 3+!!!How embarrassing!(I really hope the next one will not be me!)

A week or more later we would be going back to our level four classroom. Haihah...Too bad! I really liked the Malay room classroom. True, it was extremely humid, but I loved the cool feeling when we turn on the air-conditioner! We were also always the first ones to get the footballs at the field! Why, Wen Xuan? Why must your feet heal so fast? -_-

Something new I learnt was that when we are using the connector in order to" or "so as to", we find out which is the action and reason. It was a really helpful strategy! In a movie there can be many plotholes. However in a 50 minute composition, there should not be reasons why we have plotholes. Another new thing I learnt was that you can interpret emotions in music, even in an unknown language.

This week's lesson was a fruitful one as it made me to pay more attention to plotholes in my composition. It also made me pay more attention to emotions in a song. It were fruitful lessons, as I also learnt about strategies to deal with "in order to" and "so as to".

One thing that was enjoyable was listening to the music and drawing out a scene. It was a different experience.

One thing that was not so good was that the music that we were supposed to listen to was only played once. If it was played twice, we would check if our scene is related to the music.

This week was enjoyable as it was one of the weeks we mainly focused on compositions. When people watch movies having sound, image and music will be complete. :)

Moving on I really enjoyed the National Day rehearsal as well as the performance put on by the Endeavour pupils. This week I had a great time and I hope to have more fun next week!

I also learnt that in life, everyone has different emotions. This term we did newspaper article reflections for each Little Red Dot.

We started this new system for the not doing homework pink slip and buddy not in school yellow slip. Once we get 3 pink slips, we would be either kicked out of your CCA for one time. If you did not skip one time, you would have to skip twice.

In the LS, we learnt that instead of using 'However' and 'But' every time, we can use other words to replace them. Such as 'Or Else', 'Still'(depending on the sentence) ,

Something new that I learnt was that the synthesis, that phrase has a reason and action that we have to differentiate by seeing where the connecter is being put at , in the middle or at the front.

Something that was not so good was that, we had a new system that if we do not do our homework we will get a pink card, once we get 3 cards we will get kicked out of something that Ms Priya chooses. I hope I will not be the next one  to get the card.

This weeks lesson were very great as I learnt that actually the frozen movie that we all actually watched had 33 mistakes in it but we all never ever realized it.

One thing I enjoyed the most was the activity of listening to music to see the emotions of the character.

One thing that was not good was the new system about not handing homework on time. Oh no! I hope that I will still get to go to CCA as I already got one pink slip! I felt sorry for those who got 3 and more slips.

I really loved to watch the Frozen video Ms Priya showed us on Youtube. It is about logic loopholes in the movie. I cannot believe are at least 33 mistakes in Frozen. I kept smiling through the whole video!

I also learnt that emotions are very important in life. Without emotions, we cannot express our feelings.

I realize music is another form of showing the person's emotions. Different music shows different emotions. That must be the reason why movies chooses the music carefully.

I really enjoyed the National Day show, it was really interesting but it was also very messy. I am also very eager to go home.

I am really happy to move back to our old classroom even though it was not really good than the malay classroom. I would willing to give or do anything to get out of that humid classroom!(>o<)

Something new that I learnt was the synthesis.For each sentence,there will be a reason and an action.

this week's lesson were entertaining and fun.Besides doing work,we did some activities related to the work.

one thing that wasn't too good was that I got a pink slip for not signing the immunisation form.i thought it was that day  where the immunization activity then hand up.

I enjoyed the orchid hybridisation  module 2.it is so fun!

my thoughts were that this week has a lot of homework.And,this week is my B'day!there was no celebration or cake,though.Hope everybody LOL!   :)

Something new that I learnt was the different connectors like despite of, nevertheless, nonetheless, lest.

This week's lessons were interesting because we did fun activities related to our work.

One thing that was not too good was the fact that Ms Priya and Co. gave us a lot of work durin the long weekend...

I enjoyed the orchid hybridization module 2 because we learnt about pollination and also destroyed another school's orchid.

My thoughts were that this week was excellent because Ms priya implemented the pink slip system. I also thought that the National Day performance was great but as usual it has its flaws but it was still awesome,

One thing that I enjoyed the most was the Orchid Hybridisation Module 2 as we got to pollinate one species to another

One thing that wasn't too good was the new system that Miss Priya had introduced to us when we did not do our homework.Once we did not do our homework, she would give us a pink card.When we have accumulated 3 pink cards,she would suspend us from our CCA's or being a monitor,prefect and so on. I really hope that I will not get any more pink cards

Something new that i learnt was there are more than 2 contrast that we could use.

This week lesson were entertaining as we did some fun activities.

One thing that was not too good was there were too much homework.

I enjoyed the ochird hybridisation module 2 as we could do pollination for the plant ourself.

This week, it is National Day! I wish Singapore a great 49 birthday and  everything in this year will be excellent.

Something new that I learnt is that there are too much connectors to choose from and I get confused. (Lest, However etc.)

One thing was reeeeeaaaalllly bad was that we get the pink slip when we forget homework or forms. At least I have not gotten my 1st one. YET.

One thing I enjoyed the most was the orchid hybridization because we got to mess up the whole science lab with pollen caps and everything related to charcoal, orchids, and water.

I really think our homework is a little bit too much but then I can't stand more than 3 subjects a day. But at least we get 5 days! And then, last thing to say: Wen Xuan, please make sure your leg doesn't heal that fast!!!

I really enjoyed the performances, espacially the one that the drama put up. Great job to the performers! I espacially enjoyed that lesson when we istened to Ms Priya's MP3 and had to write/draw down the images that come to our mind.But, maybe Ms Priya can play more of the song as we had really less time to think about what to draw, As for that lesson, I enjoyed it because it was really fun. However, I was unfamiliar with the songs and I cannot really visulize at first as the music was new to my ears. But, slowly by slowly, i got used to it. I reallt want more of these lessons in the future!

After that, we had to exchange books and write one sentece that we wrote on the paper based on the music that Ms Priya played for us! That was really fun as we had to wrtie a story based on that line!!

Something new that I learnt was that even music (mostly music without vocals) can make a reader visualize a story, depending on what type of music (scary,sad,happy,etc.).

I enjoyed this week's activities as there were a lot of activities to help us in our compositions.

One thing I enjoyed the most was the Drama Club's skit(mostly) and the other performances like the P2's and the Choir's in the National Day celebration.

One thing that wasn't too good was that I fell down during the Science Orchid Hybridisation activity and injured my hand.

Overall this week was giving me a lot of pressure as I have to go for the Mother Tongue activity with Malay traditional costume and I have to get to school early (which i managed to) on Friday as I have to take part in the prefects' contagion.

As usual, we learn more connectors. The best thing is that unknowingly, I managed to use it in the "Honest Act" Compo.

We also did the LRDs and what I find about the topics we choose for the LRDs are more about facts, and not about character development and moral ethics. I feel that Ms Priya and the class should choose articles that are more related to civics and moral education, so that we can learn to express ourselves and Ms Priya can really see what character we really are and are we really learning by the experience that we go through when doing the LRDs.

So overall, this week was good again and one more week down. See everyone in Week 7 and Happy National Day!

I think this week had been great. The week seemed to pass quite quickly.I had lots of fun on national Day. 

And P.S. To Freesia and phu xian, Are you guys kidding me? Why would i not want my leg to heal quickly. Why don't you guys break a leg and try it for a change! "Thanks a lot!"

1 thing that went really bad for me was the pink slips. I just can't seem to stop. I'm so worried. what if this habit sticks with me 'till sec ? We also celebrated Singapore's 49th birthday at school. we had a half day at school and had great performances.There was also a skit specially prepared for for us by the drama club. Looking forward to next year's national day!I wonder what's in store for us!

Tan Ya Xuan

This week, we learnt about movie mistakes vs composition errors. Movie mistakes is lighter fault than composition errors, as in one show, there are many characters at once. However, when writing compos, there is only one author, one director and one actor, which is all you! So, we should not have too many errors.

One day after school, we had the science module 2. It was very very fun as we got to make our very own hybrid. I really wonder when would our hybrids grow into adult plants.

When we went for the national day concert on Friday in school, we were released at 10.15 am. However, after all the performance and we returned back to our classroom, something that went bad was that the choir members had to "re-perform" the songs "Reach out for the skies" and "Things so singaporean" steps again, as at the actual performance earlier on, our classmates did not clap and do the steps. 

There were files as national day gifts and we had to sing very loudly and merrily to get them. I really love all the performance as they teach us about the National anthem and its origin. The best performance was the one that the teachers performed and the teachers modelling.

We had the science practical test and I got a bit messed up as I did not like sort of "practice" at home. As the saying goes," There is no elevator to success, you would have to take the stairs."

Our school had a National Day celebration this week, and the performances were good and i enjoyed them.

 One thing that i enjoyed this week was the lesson where we would listen to a part of a song and we will draw or write what our character was doing if there was that song to visualize it.

One thing that was not appealing was that we had a new system in our class implemented by Ms Priya. How the system work is that whenever you forgot to bring or do your homework, you would be given a pink slip to write what you did wrong and we would let our parents to sign it. And if you get three pink slips, one of your school privileges would be taken away from you temporarily until you can prove that you are responsible.

I think that the system that miss Priya put is better as now i am more scared if i did not complete my work.

One thing that i enjoyed most is the national day celebration.

This week is stressful because i almost did not complete my homework on Wednesday as i have mt fortnight and will only go back at 5.15 pm.

Also, Miss Priya taught us how to add "soul" into our compositions by describing more deeply with thoughts which then would not end up with major logic loopholes or errors.

Miss Priya also introduced a new system to us: Pink slip and Yellow slip. The pink slip is taken when you have not completed or done or brought your homework. If you have gotten it three times, you will be suspended from an after school curriculum hours temporarily until you have learnt to be more responsible. The yellow card has a milder impact, which only includes information on homework for the absent student so that they can catch up with their work.

This weeks lessons were odd as there were many things introduced to us which were unexpected. Still, one thing I thought went okay was that the pink slips (for not doing homework) were introduced. Even if I already got one pink slip, I think it has taught me to be more disciplined.

Other stuff that occurred included the awesome National Day celebration and the Orchid Hybridization session 2 where we got to create our own orchids.
