Exit Ticket

I discussed using an "Exit Ticket" with my group yesterday. When the students line up to leave I give a few a chance to come up and tap the ticket and say something they liked, learned (AH-HA), would change or ask a question about the lesson we had that day.

Bowling Pins and Basketballs

We currently have an abundance of bowling pins and are hoping to find some a new home—if you or your program could use some, let us know!
Additionally, Dumbarton has a large supply of basketballs in excellent condition, but unfortunately no hoops and very low ceilings. If anyone is in need of basketballs, we’d be happy to share!

Blaze Pods

If you don’t have your own Blaze Pods, I highly recommend signing up to use them through the equipment sign-up sheet.
We’re currently in our football unit, and I’ve set them up as a station — the kids absolutely love it! They’re incredibly easy to use: just press “Start” and the station runs itself.

Fitness Testing Tips and Tricks

Hi, friends! I am new to HPE this year and have just about finished my first round of fitness testing. Boy, it was a doozy! I know it took me way too long. Do y'all have any tips on how you run them (which tests on which days, how many you do in one day, how you manage the rest of the class while pulling students for the sit and reach, etc. I think anything would be useful to me. I'm teaching my assessment and technology class at VCU and want to make sure that I cover the programs that you can't live without. What apps and programs to you love and use? (ex. I LOVE Plickers - QR codes for student assessment.)

Color Run Powder

We have a large supply of color powder from a color run that was planned two years ago but canceled at the last minute. Our PTA is unable to organize a new event, and I’d hate for all of it to go to waste. If any school or organization has a color run coming up, please let me know—we would be happy to donate our remaining supplies to you.

CPR Mannequins?
