More often than not, children start asserting more and are self-initiating in playing and socializing, learning initiative versus the guilt one feels at being too pushy or intrusive. Children must now begin to exercise control and power over the environment. If this occurs successfully, the child will begin to develop a sense of initiative. If not, he or she will begin to feel guilty.</p>]]></description>
