Fruits, vegetables, and grains have many nutritious benefits. Fruits give you essential vitamins that help your body function to it's full potential. Vegetables are important sources of many nutrients, including potassium, dietary fiber, vitamin A and vitamin C. Vegetables also help maintain a healthy blood pressure. I feel that grains are the most essential for teens because they are calorically dense and teens need more calories than adults because we are in a rapid state of growing and developing into adults.
