In Spring of 2025, I took a English 102 class, in which focused on expanding concepts student have learned in past settings, such as a ton of concepts of writing, analyzing skills, focusing on getting the general ideas outlined, and putting those ideas into writing, then eventually revise and work those ideas into full-blown essays, to varying degrees (in my case)

How does one's position deter things?

Well, it depends, as when someone is writing something, considering their position as an Author I believe is important when beginning their process--how their place in the world effects their views and research on certain topics, are they familar and in-tune, or an outsider wishing to know more? The later was me when choosing a research topic

Sometimes, it's admittedly hard to stomach--or even look at, usually out of embarrassment or something, however, when you DON'T receive any at all, I feel it can be a bit of a let down that no one took time to read your hard work, so I think Reviewers can use that as motivation to always give a good bit of feedback to whatever they're reviewing. With that being said, here's an example of previous feedback to fix my past errors in an older assignment, which I would go forward to fix in future assignments

I feel pretty happy I got to be flexible. I think the process of letting us, A: Learn the fundamentals of a certain way of doing a task, in this case; Evaluating, but before instantly diving into JUST writing about a topic, practice doing it with small things around you first, that why you can apply that knowledge going forward

Usually, I feel starting your research with "Scholarly Sources" (usually articles formed by people with notable statuses or degrees, or college students, or official associations) is a good way to cap things off, as you might get an idea for what you want to look for going forward. Get your thoughts sorted out first, streamline them, and then explore the vast varying amounts of other angles.

Writing's definitely interesting. I really appreciate the process, research, outlining, all the sort, but I think it also helped me realize Writing is still not my strong suit as this course kind of humbled me ngl. My advice to anyone taking a class like this going forward is make sure you double think what your topics are before hand. like seriously. But, if you do your best you've got nothing to worry about.
