The red flag Appeal to Authority is when a person or multiple people use a certain endorsement to promote a product. This can involve beautiful celebrities promoting makeup or other products. Companies use these people as the face of their company, because in doing so they know that these people have either a fan base, or if a doctor, a respected audience to believe that these products are good, or work.

This attached photo is of a dentist promoting a certain cigarette/filter that you should use rather than the other brands. This relates to Appeal to Authority because it is a dentist who is promoting a cigarette brand. Connection: This attached photo is an example of patternicity, it is 3 birds flying in the sky, but the way the birds are flying and the moment the photo was taken, it looks like a smiley face in the sky.
