Besides that, I learn to also help my parent pick out ingredients too, such as when picking out a food, usually my parent will check for the eyes and it's bright red gills, meaning that it is fresh. Overall, I enjoy be able to learn a thing or two from my parents and most importantly, being able to bond with them.

In no time, the wet market became bustling with vendors selling produce/meat/fish and many elderly negotiating prices to buy their ingredients for their money's worth.

Today I came here especially for an special type of ingredient that cannot be found in local supermarkets but only the wet market. I always like to buy from my vendor that sells fish. Compared to a supermarket, supermarkets usually have a limited selection of fish that I like.

Furthermore, their fish is always not fresh and gives an unpleasant odor and taste after cooking. Even if I try my best to mask the smell, it still doesn't taste the same compared to a fresher fish. On the flip side, Wet markets allow me to buy fish in the amount I want. For example, I can easily ask the vendor to cut me how much fish I want, what I want to cut out or even descale. For the supermarket, all the fish are usually cut equally in a controlled setting that doesn't allow buyers to be picky and have to buy parts of that fish that they don't like.

Lastly, I can negotiate prices with the vendor of the best value that can benefit for the both of us in the wet market but in a supermarket setting, forced to over buy produce/meat/fish to match the recipe that ill usually follow, makes it expensive and wasteful that I wouldn't want to use the parts that I don't prefer.

In a wet market, I always look for honest vendors I can trust to buy produce from. As honestly is the key to benefit both me and the vendor. Without any honestly at play here, both parties the vendors and consumers will lose trust in each other and share to fellow vendors and consumers to beware of this dishonesty.

This can create unwanted distrust among the wet market community and it can influence consumers to not buy from certain vendors. As a result, Vendors will have to increase their selling produce price to keep up with the lack of consumers or they will have to retire from that certain wet market. Due to rent. Some may suffer consequences of actions of themselves or caused by others. Their long/ short term reputation will be tarnished.

IN SUMMARY,
