This recital centered around the history of the trumpet The recital showed the musical aspects of the trumpet, and why it is a well rounded instrument. The growth of the trumpet started out as a religious or military instrument not meant to preform musically. To the beautiful sounding instrument we us today. During the concert the performers gave examples why the trumpet was considered a musical instrument rather than a religious or a military instrument. They mentioned that the trumpet is the only instrument that can harmonize with the human voice. Then the singer Sophia Grench and the trumpet player Crispan Steele-Perkins proves how much the trumpet can really harmonize with the piece they performed by Handel Let the Bright Seraphim. Then the performers went on about how the trumpets design changed to a Baroque trumpet to better create actual music.
