More economically efficient, value for money

disadvantages:
Firstly costs money to produce a tender and only one can be successful.
Staff can only be employed after the tender has been successful. If the tender is not retendered after the contract then staff have to be made redundant and this will affect the relationship between thde young person and the youth workers. This type of service could affect longterm relationship with the YW and the YP. The young person will blame the government if the funding stops.

It is important to meet the requirements for funding bodies because that is a way to ensure ongoing or future funding to maintain the provision of programs that benefit not only the youth but the organisations. Responding to the interests of young people is also important because they are the main constituency for youth workers. The main priorities for youth work practice should be the young people's needs and interest.
Sometimes conflict can arise between meeting the requirements between these two because for a funding organisation might not agree with the interests or values of the young people and this can jeopardize future funding and therefore the existence of youth programs. Therefore, youth work centres need to find funding bodies that match with the objectives and goals of the youth programs where both interests and goals can be obtainable.
