I play competitive softball for the Colorado Diamonds 14U team. I am also very passionate about my dog Daisy (picture above).
Understanding Setting and Connecting it to Theme

~How does the setting help the development of the theme?

How the setting in The 57 Bus helps the development of the theme is by describing the incident with Sasha and Richard on the bus. The setting is on the 57 bus when Richard lights Sasha's skirt on fire while they were sleeping. How this setting develops the theme is by showing how many people are assaulted just because of their gender. In conclusion, the theme of "The 57 Bus" is justice for any gender, race, and sexuality, because so many people each day are assaulted for being their true selves.
