When law enforcement arrived to Newgard's residence, they found him face down on the floor of his garage. He was unresponsive and deemed deceased, law enforcement called for a medical assistant to come to the scene who determined that Newgard was dead upon arrival.  Law enforcement then called the Forensics laboratory to investigate the scene and a medical examiner to come collect the body. After reviewing all forensic evidence and completing an autopsy on Marcel's body, I can conclude that he did from ventricular fibrillation related to a caffeine overdose mixed with a smaller overdose of Acetaminophen. After overdosing on the caffeine ventricular fibrillation began to happen which is when the lower chambers of the heart vibrate instead of contracting. This condition causes the heart to stop beating like normal and later causes cardiac arrest.
