My sister, Brooke, Kaitlin, Kylie and I all went to an escape room. It was really fun, however Kaitlin and Kylie got really scared and sat screaming on the floor for 40 minutes of the 45 minute room. My step-dad has a big family, so we invited everyone to a hall we had rented. My favorite part of this party was playing the "Christmas ball" game, which is basically a bunch of candy and other things rapped in a big ball of packing tape, and we go around rolling a dice. If you get six, you get to unwrap the christmas ball until someone else gets it. It was break from my crazy chaotic life. It was a time when I could think about more than just myself and my schedule. The break allowed me to spend time on my relationship with God and helped me find wonder again. It wasn't easy to slow down and think about God. To be honest it was actually really hard. I struggled to understand what God was trying to tell me because I wasn't ok with not being in control and giving it all to God. It made me give control back to God. It was really difficult for me because I had to force myself to take time to build me relationship with God back up from the broken place it was a few days earlier. Although my relationship now is definitely not perfect, in fact it often seems like my relationship is getting messed up more than it is succeeding.
