While I like many chemical elements and compound, Benzene has been one of my favorite interest (after cyanide and mustard gas) because of how the molecules of benzene arranged themselves. Benzene is an organic chemical compound with the chemical formula C6H6. The benzene molecule is composed of six carbon atoms joined in a ring with one hydrogen atom attached to each. As it contains only carbon and hydrogen atoms, benzene is classed as a hydrocarbon. I guess thats all for now, ciao guys , 🤪

The geometry behavior for both electronic and geometry are same because CCl4 does not have lone pair. The Carbon Tetrachloride uses in daily life are vary from household purposes to heroic fire combatant. CCl4 can be used as a solvent for soaps, rubber cement, and insecticides. It can even take the place of soap acting as a dry cleaning agent. I choose CCl4 because it looks like structure of triangular pyramid that is related to architecture which is my ambition. That's all I want to say.

Benzene (C6H6) is a planar molecule containing a ring of six carbon atoms, each with a hydrogen atom attached. The six carbon atoms form a perfectly regular hexagon. This molecules structure is very interesting and beautiful as it forms a perfect ring or nut shape. It also has an alternating arrangement of single bond and double bond between carbons atom.

The bond angle is 120° and it is non polar molecule because there are no lone pair. The shape of SO3 also beautiful because remind me about fidget spinner. The VSEPR notation is AB3. Sulphur trioxide is use wide to make chemical fertilizer to avoid crop spoilage. In other words, so3 is very useful in marketing.

Based on the photo above, I did a molecular geometry model of an ethanoic acid(CH3COOH) molecule. I chose ethanoic acid molecule as my model because i think that it has a unique molecular structure. Furthermore, truthly, i love to eat salads and pickles. Ethanoic acid does took part in the making of vinegar which is an essential ingredient for my favourite foods! I know that all of you knew about this fact, but let me just explain it to you. Ethanoic acid can also be called as acetic acid. The dilute solution of ethanoic acid produced by fermentation and oxidation of natural carbohydrates is called the vinegar. On top of that, vinegar is also an essential part of making salad dressings, which is a key flavor in a marinade. Thats all from me. Thankyou for reading!🌸🕊

Hi everyone! So, yesterday, I built a model of butene, C4H8, using the molecular kit. Thr model I built is 2-butene because the double bond is located at the 2nd carbon atom. I chose butene because it has 4 carbon atoms and 8 Hydrogen atoms. Each Hydrogen atom forms 1 single bond each with the Carbon atom. The 1st and 4th Carbon atom form 3 single bonds with 3 Hydrogen atoms and 1 single bond with another Carbon atom. The 2nd and 3rd Carbon atoms form 2 single bonds with 2 Hydrogen atoms and 1 double bond with each other. There are no 11 bonded pairs ans no lone pairs in this structure. All the 4 valence electrons of the Carbon atoms form bonds with other atoms. All the 1 valence electrons of the Hydrogen atoms also form bonds with the Carbon atoms. I think this structure is very interesting because it looks very beautiful and I like how all the atoms are connected with one another without any lone pairs. 2-Butene is a colorless gas. One of its uses in daily life is as a cross-linking agent. However, its main use is in the production of gasoline (petrol) and butadiene, although some 2-butene is also used to produce the solvent butanone via hydration to 2-butanol followed by oxidation.

Assalamualaikum dr ain. So here are one of my fav molecule that i like. It is SF6. The electronic geometrical is octahedral and the molecular geometrical is also octahedral. This is because it contain AB6 and do not have any lone pair. That is why the electronic geometrical and molecular is the same. So the reason i like it is all about the name of it which is octahedral. To me the name of it mean a lot to the molecule such as “octa” which mean 8 and “hedral” which is planes. So here it means it have 8 planes because it is like a 2 piramid upside and downside that have 4 planes each and when combine it will be 8 planes. It is true that also other molecule has a specific name that unique to itself but to me the most wonderful meaning is octahedral.

This compund is very interesting as it is made of Carbon as the central atom and Oxygen as the terminal atom. There are 1 carbon atom and 2 oxygen atom. The two elements are combined with double bond. Hence, it makes this molecule very unique and beautiful when constructed using the molecular model. Both electronic and molecular geometry of carbon dioxide is linear giving the bond angle 180. Carbon dioxide is a non-polar molecule. As we all know, carbon dioxide is used by plants to undergo photosynthesis while in iron extraction, the forming of carbon dioxide act as the main source of heat in the blast furnace.

Hydrogen fluoride is a chemical compound with the chemical formula HF. It is an important feedstock in the preparation of many important compounds including pharmaceuticals and polymers. It has tetrahedral electron-pair geometry. Its bond angle is 180 as it has linear molecular geometry .HF’s VSEPR notation is ABE ₃ because it has 1 bond and 3 lone pairs at its central atom,Fluorine,F.I guess that’s all information that I can highlight about this amazing molecule, thanks for reading!👋🏻

Hello-mello from me everyone! My name is Syaz. Yesterday, during our lab session, we learnt about molecular shape of a molecule that were determined by VSEPR Theory. So here is my 'not-so-special' picture with my favourite molecule structure which is methane (CH4). As we know, this molecule is a hydrocarbon and is the simplest alkane. I chose this molecule because I think it has a unique shape which is 1 carbon as the central atom and 3 hydrogens as the terminal atoms. When I was constructing this hydrocarbon, there was a sudden flashback of a moment when I was in my secondary school, doing the same structure; but with my gegirls gang. Nostalgia right? Okay so before I end this caption, I would like to share fun facts about methane. It is the main constituent of natural gas. The relative abundance of methane on Earth makes it an attractive fuel, although capturing and storing it poses challenges due to its gaseous state under normal conditions for temperature and pressure. Attractive but dangerous? Nice. And do you know some lakes can 'burp' methane?

For your information, Butanes are highly flammable, colorless, odorless, easily liquefied gases. Also, the name butane was derived by back from the name of butyric acid. The molecule is also symmetric that every atom has its pair, and of course no lone pairs is present. That whats make it amazing💐

Yesterday I get a chance to build a molecule from the molecular kit that have been provided. I choose to build a propene molecule which is from the alkene group that only consist of combination between hydrogen atom with carbon atom.Propene only contain 3 carbon atom and this give the propene a non-polar molecule properties. For this propene molecule,it doesn't contain any lone pair and the shape is a little bit complex.Propene get the molecular shape from combination of 2 trigonal planar shape and 1 tetrahedral center. The first carbon atom form a single bond with two hydrogen while it's form a double bond with the second carbon atom. The second carbon atom form a single bond with one hydrogen and with the third carbon. The last carbon which is the third one form a single bond with three hydrogen. The first and second carbon atom form two trigonal planar while the third carbon form one tetrahedral. I like this molecule because of it's shape.Propene is the second most important starting product after ethene in petrochemical industry. It is the raw material for wide variety of products. Polypropene plastic uses include films, fibres , containers and packaging. Propene also used for the production of imp.

Assalamualaikum and a very good day I wish to all of the readers especially Dr Ain Jamil. I'm Sham, so this is my favourite molecule model which we call it Ozone (O3). I want to say that this molecule is made up of three Oxygen atoms and this molecule contain a oxygen-oxygen single and also a oxygen-oxygen double bond. This polar molecule has a trigonal planar molecular geometry. In addition, this Ozone is a layer that covers the Earth means that, it is very important. We get protection from UV radiation as Ozone layer absorbs the radiation that emitted by the Sun.

Assalamualaikum and hello my dearest friends.I am Aqilah. I chose the molecule NH3 or Ammonia. I think this molecule is very interesting because it consist of 3 bonding atoms and one lone pair at the central atom. The electronic geometry is tetrahedral while the molecular geometry is trigonal pyramidal. This molecule is essential for many biological processes and serves as a precursor for amino acid and nucleotide synthesis.

In the environment , ammonia is part of the nitrogen cycle and is produced in soil from bacterial processes. Ammonia is also produced naturally from decomposition of organic matter including plants , animals and animal wastes.

Ammonia is used in:
🌸 Agriculture as fertilizers which is about 80 % from the industries.
🌸 Refrigerant gas
🌸 Purification of water supplies
🌸 Manufacture of plastics
🌸 Manufacture of explosives
🌸 Manufacture of textiles
🌸 Manufacture of pesticides
🌸 Manufacture of dyes
And other chemicals...

It is found in many household and industrial-strenght cleaning solutions by adding ammonia gas to water.

The acetic acid or also known as ethanoic acid, CH3COOH, have a molecular structure like a cute dog . Acetic acid is also used for the treatment of outer ear infections like the growth of fungus and bacteria. Acetic acid is used in vinegar, which is used as a condiment & in the pickling of raw vegetables and other foods. Acetic acid is used for the manufacture of inks and dyes. So, I ended my short essay with a chemistry joke.

Q: What did the scientist say when he found 2 isotopes of helium?
A: HeHe
