It means their thoughts and opinions on how things run in the workplace, and how they treat their coworkers, especially when there are problems. 
Ethics can be taught from supervisors and management, but whether it is taught the correct way will make or break how that person is trained. Being able to learn from a supervisor that understands morals and ethics, and treats others properly is something that isn't apparent in the workplace anymore. To have that makes a person lucky.
