Roots are important in the environment because they provide an anchor for the plant to stay in place, but more importantly, the roots are the lifeline of the plant, where the plant takes up air, water and nutrients from the soil and move it throughout the tree where they come in contact with the sun and that is what makes the plants grow. erosion is from over watering of the land, but it is important because the water erosion helps feed water sources with essential nutrients, which helps the ecosystem.
