Our team began the year with a variety of team building and relationship building activities with our students. Some of these activities included "get to know you" games, asking questions about their teacher, student lunches, consistent praise and rewards for positive behavior, learning about the whole child while setting up each workshop and laughing with our students. We are excited to continue strengthening these relationships throughout the year.

In PE we have found a way to hold students accountable as well as reward students for following expectations with the addition of the "PE Time-Out." If students don't follow exceptions during PE or health they will lose time from the following PE class. If students meet expectations we reward heavily with cheetah cash. This has dramatically increase a positive learning environment.

June - In second grade, we have taken the time to create meaningful relationships with students in our classrooms. We have done several community building activities in which students can get to know one another. We also have been using Cheetah Cash and Class Cash very consistently. Some classes have already earned their first Class Cash goal and have had a celebration. This has let the students know the reward comes right after it is earned.
