The Globe Theater was built in 1599 by Peter Street; Was on the banks of the River Thames on the outskirts of London. Of approximately 30 meters of diameter, its size allowed the entrance to total of 3351 spectators.

The stage was a rectangle that protruded from the circumference of the building and invaded the proscenium sector; Measured approximately 13 meters wide by 8 meters deep and one and a half meters high.

It had two traps through which the stage was reached by the bottom of the same, the first was in the previous sector and the other in the back. The lower part of the stage was known as hell and there appeared and disappeared supernatural

The columns that were on the stage supported the roof where another trapdoor was found from which hung divine figures coming from the sky; Probably these were sustained with the ropes and / or harnesses that could be obtained at the time.

Above these doors was a balcony that was used when a space was needed to develop the action; One of his most famous uses was in the well-known scene of Romeo and Juliet.

For the construction of this theater was used material of the dismantled The Theater. When in 1597 the license of that theater expired (the first of the Elizabethan period) its owner, James Burbage, had to move it of the other side of the river Thames changing him the name
