Video # 3 : Reasons To Buy An Electric Car

This video talks about electric cars and why you should buy them. Now in 2017 we have so many more options than just buying or leasing a regular car, we have electric cars. The video goes over the main benefits to getting an electric car which include, low maintenance, energy savings as it is three times more efficient, and helping the environment. The most interesting piece of information I found was that if you buy an electric car you do not have to rely on gas stations. You can just charge your car at home and have a full tank every morning. I think the idea of electric cars are really neat and if you have not looked into getting one I think this video is super helpful.

Video #1: Saving Money: Which is Better - Buying or Leasing a Car?

I chose this link because it relates to the topic and discusses the major pros and cons to each alternative. This is a short video that is easy to view and understand but does not go too in-depth about the topic. It is a nice overview for someone that is new and undecided. To summarize this video, the best thing about buying a vehicle is that after you finish paying off the car payments you get to keep and own the car. While the negatives are that you have to cover your own repair costs and it is more of a hassle when you want to sell the car and get a new one. The pro to leasing is that you get a new car every few years with little hassle. The worst thing is that there are some additional insurance costs such as gap insurance and at the end of the day you do not get to keep the car. The most important piece of information I found useful was that in the end they said there was no right or wrong answer. Buying or leasing all depends on the type of person you are and what you want to achieve with the vehicle at the end of the day.

Website # 1: Lowest Rates

Website Link- Lowest Rates Website
This website compares different insurance companies and the prices associated. If you have an idea of what car you might want to get in the future, you can use this site to input all the available information and get insurance quotes and compare the options and prices. This site is perfect for people who are new or who have already had a vehicle to look at all the available insurance companies around and make sure to get the best deal. This will help people when deciding whether to lease or buy as they can look at the different rates and see what works best with their budget. The feature that I found most useful is the amount of information you can give to get these exact, free quotes. Some insurances websites are very vague and you might get a quote far from the truth but this site makes you input exact vehicle information, drivers’ information, and discount information. I like how detailed it is and how you will get a pretty accurate quote. A bonus feature is that you can also look at the lowest rates for car loans!

The image shows ten tips to help making buying a car not difficult. It takes you on a mini journey and by following these rules buying a car should be no problem. The thing I found useful about this image is that it goes in depth with the information you should know about purchasing a car. This site allows you to scroll through cars you have been thinking about getting or you can input your information and find a car that matches your criteria. This is relevant because whether you lease or buy you are going to need a car so this site helps you find the perfect car. The tool I found most useful on this site is that it allows you to select up to 8 vehicles to compare and contrast the differences.

Buying
The second image is a comparison of buying vs leasing. This particular image focuses on the positives of each and does not go in depth about the negatives. This relates as it shows a brief overview about buying vs leasing as a graphic. If people are a visual learner, they can easily understand and read this image. The most useful piece of information was that after each point it gave a sentence or two to talk more in depth about it. For example, for leasing you get to drive new vehicles for less monthly payments but then it goes on to describe more about it and how you are able to do this. I like how it focuses on the positives and does not say there is a right or wrong answer as many people can get confused and feel the pressure to always have to buy.

This image focuses on leasing and gives details on how to lease a car. This image goes through six simple steps about how to properly lease a vehicle. It starts with selecting the right car, and ends of with signing and driving it off the lot. I found step four as a useful piece of information because it mentions making the right deal and how long to lease for. It gives specific details such as getting GAP insurance which some people might not have known about.

Whether you lease or buy it is your responsibility to take care of the car and keep up its maintenance. Such as making sure the car gets regular oil changes and the breaks and tires are inspected regularly. The website teaches customers how to find a good mechanic by comparing the mechanics around you, asking questions, finding an honest mechanic and making sure you do not get scammed. The most useful piece of information I found was to make sure you build up a loyal relationship with your mechanic in order to show him your dedication and receive it back.

Video # 2: Automatic Vs Manual

This video is relevant because it focuses on a topic many forget when buying a car. Should you get an automatic or manual type of car? Many overlook this factor when purchasing a car because all that people want now are automatic cars. But manual cars are just as good and there is a big difference when deciding whether or not to get one or the other. This video talks about the difference of manual vs automatic technology in depth in relation to driving a car. This video is aimed specifically for people who are interested in the difference as it goes very in-depth into the differences. The thing I found useful about this video was that it explained that automatic transmission results in smoother driving but a high repair cost while manual is a lower cost and easier to repair.
