Some of my earliest memories of healthcare are positive. My pediatrician's office, even while a little scary, was also a place of kindness and fun. From an early age, I knew that I wanted to be in healthcare. Taking care of my patients was one of my favorite things to play as a child. Playing "doctor" and "school" were to the two things that I loved to play the most as a little girl, so I guess it's no surprise now that I have been a Registered Nurse for 19 years!!! This is my 3rd year of teaching, and I'm so excited to have you in my classroom this year.

The first time I got a vaccination I wanted to take off running. That was something I did not want to do. After my first set of shots, all I could think about was how I could make this a better experience for myself and others. Now don't get me wrong, the nurses was so nice to me but, my fear of needles out weighted their sweet smiles. Now that I am older, I realize it was not that bad. I think that when I become a nurse I will not only be sweet but I will be able to put the kids mind at ease and help them overcome their fear of needles. I am looking forward to learning all I can about health care.

My very first healthcare memories was the time that i snapped my arm completely in half. It was a gnarly experience. But i went to the hospital passed out and before the night was over i had a cast on and i was sent home. One of my memories id like to share would be, when i was 12 i was going down a really big hill on my skateboard and i was going really fast and i didn't see a car come around the corner i i hit it and i layed on the top of that car like a dead rat, it was the most rad thing that ever happened.

Even though I was a kid they was asking me questions that I knew when the doctors could simply ask my mom to answer. By me trying to remember it's straight positive activity going and leaving the health care facility.

My first medical experiences were not really good ones. My first time I had to go to the hospital for something serious was when I was 5. I was carelessly running in my backyard when I tripped on a tree stump. I had to go to the hospital to get stitches, not only that they were placed right above my left eye. Around a year later, I was riding my bike around my yard when I accidentally went down the hill that my house was on. Being young I was not able to withstand the speed I was going so I fell of. The bike crushed my arm with speed, breaking it. Not all is bad though, I have received all my vaccination shots besides one booster shot when I turn 16.

When I was four years old I woke up unable to move my neck. I told mom and she checked my temperature. I had a fever. Then she took me to the hospital. They immediately told me I had a serious staff infection. I remember being super scared especially when the nurse had to put an IV in my arm. But all the doctors and nurses were really nice and helped me calm down. My mom said after that I was smiling pretty much the whole time. But I was very sad at one point because I wasn't allowed to play in the children's section because I was very contagious but the nurses brought some toys so I could play again! After 10-12 days I was all better and ready to go home!

My first medical experiences was scary and rough. And it's something I will never want to experiences again. I was 11 years old I was riding my bike outside with my cousins and I descited to go to the very top of the hill so that I could ride my bike down the hill and before you knew it I was getting chased by these pet wolfs my neighbors had in they back yard. So I jumped on my bike as I could and road it down the hill and before you knew it. My chain on my bike happen to pop so my bike was just going side to side as I fell down the hill and ran into the back of a truck and scraped my chin on the ground to where the skin on my chin was hanging from my face. So I got rushed to the hospital to get stitches on my chin. it was pretty rough but I got through it so I'm looking at a better way to learn about health care.

I believe my first memory of healthcare wasn't such a good one. I was very young and running around my backyard with my dog. I was running against the fence line when I felt a sharp and intense pain shoot through my right foot. It didn't hurt that bad until i flipped my foot around so I could see what happened. Little me looking down at her foot saw a dirty brown, rusty nail sticking into her foot. As soon as I saw what was happening I threw myself on the ground and started screaming. Which of course alerted my mother. She rushed outside and the next thing I can recall is being at the hospital getting the nail removed and getting a tetanus shot for it. I was so upset and terrified that multiple nurses were swarmed in the room holding me down. It was not the best time but since then it has spiked my interest in healthcare and how doctors and nurses are able to remain calm and get their job done safe and correctly.

My first medical health that I experience was very scary and frustrating. Let me just say this, I will never wish this pain and severe symptoms that I had. I experience this sickness a few years ago when I was 12 or 13 years old and it was just horrible,it was one day when I came home from being out with family and when we got home I just was feeling a little funny, like it was painful I been sick before but,it was never like this.Once I started feeling like this I told my mom and she ask was I okay and what is bothering me and I told her that I had a headache,Congested, nose running, sneezing, chills, and I was nauseous.Once I told her she start to get really worried and was freaking out so she went and told my dad and, they both was concerned and scared because of the fact I was feeling like this. My mom came in my room and check my head to see if I had a fever and I did so she went and got me some medicine and told me to take it so, I took it and I was crying because I was feeling so bad and I didn't know why I was feeling like this. My mom was helping me out because I started throwing up everywhere and I had to rush to the bathroom, so then my mom said we need to go to the emergency room ASAP,she not herself she is so sick and she was so worried. But they told me to eat some crackers and drank a sprite to settle my stomach. The next morning I went to the emergency room early that morning to see what's wrong. I got in checked in all that and the doctor seen me and they told me I had the FLU. I was crying and just was shocked ,it was just all bad like I was really so sick.My energy was just down and I can't believe I had the flu and didn't even know but, this is my story about my trip to the emergency room, it was the worst experience ever.

The doctors told me I had to get surgery and having surgery was my biggest fear I wanted to go home but I was bleeding internally so I knew that wasn't an option. It was a long process the surgery took 3 hours. I'm looking forward to being a nurse and helping people come over there fears of having surgery because it's not scary at all especially if you have a very nice nurse. Here's another memory, I was playing softball and I slid to the base wrong and I pulled a mussel in my chest I was scared at first because I thought it was bigger than that.

My family and I were snowboarding down a really steep hill.It was my turn to get on the snowboard so I did just that, and without my permission my cousin pushed me down the hill causing me to somehow slide off the board and onto the concrete.Of course I went head first down the hill and bruised my arm, my forehead, and my knee. My forehead and my arm was okay those were just a bruise, but it was glass under the snow so I cut my knee causing me to need stitches. Therefore I went to the doctor and I was really scared to get stitches because of the pain but it honestly did not hurt that bad. It was just a little tense but I took those stitches and went on about my way. I haven't really had that much bad luck since then though.
