This element focuses on students being able to learn about a new concept and tell in some way what they have learned so far of that particular concept. This also is a way for students to put in their own words what parts of the concept still are not clear to them.

Reflective Journals- a way for students to write, say, create in their own way what they have learned from a particularly new concept. A reflection journal helps them answer the question of what they have learned, what they still don't understand, and how does the new concept relates to other learning concepts we have learned before, as well as what they feel they succeeded on/need improvement on.

Knowledge Comparisons- a way for students to compare the new concept they have learned to previous concepts and knowledge they have learned before. This can help them connect to previous background knowledge and deepen their understanding of the new concept.

Seesaw-Option for reflection (drawings, photos, video recording, note-taking, multimedia outlets, etc.) for students to reflect on their learning/share with teachers, loved ones, and classmates.

Tip- Already setting up the initial activity the students will be building off. This will put students' reflections in one designated area on Seesaw to easily share with classmates and keep organized to that particular concept. You could also have an example of a Seesaw reflection post to help them have a reference for creative ideas.

Google Classroom-Access to all created materials, links, classwork, way to communicate with classmates, etc all in one area.

Tip: Create topics to keep certain subjects/topics/standards in one organized place for all creations to go/be made by students.

Google Slides-Another option of reflecting what they have learned, concepts they don’t fully understand, and a way to collaborate with others to create a reflection of what they learned.

Tip: If students are working together they can share the slides with one another and all work together on the same slides but from their own computers.

Thinglink-Another option to put multimedia all together on a poster-like presentation to reflect on learning and share with others creatively.

Tip: Show an example of what a reflection post could look like that incorporates all the tools of multimedia given on Thinglink.

Overall: Give students about 10 minutes each day to continue reflecting on the concept as the learning progresses.
