Make public what has been traditionally been private-goals, strategies, materials, pacing, questions, concerns, and results

3) Stop- Just giving teachers standards and curriculum guides.

Do: Create time and space for teachers to ask- How will we know when each student has learned? (formative assessments)

4) Take Ownership- Are teachers and administrators willing to accept the fact they are part of the problem?

A group of staff members that are willing to work together WILL find a way

(1) identifying current level of student achievement

(2) establishing a goal to improve current level

(3) working together to achieve that goal

(4) providing periodic evidence of progress
