This excerpt from Brown Man's burden connects very well to the picture shown. In the picture, the snake symbolizes the white people, and the queen (with the crown), overpowering the black people. It also shows that they will get hurt and beaten if they step out of line, or don't obey the rules, as it also says in the excerpt. It also implies that the rules will get stricter and if the black man steps out of line again, they could end up being killed. The last two lines in the excerpt says that the white people were at an advantage because they used the black people to do everything for them.

The photo and document show that the brown mans burden is to always lose to the white man. The snake is showing that the white man , king Leopard, choking the black man. Also in the last two lines it shows that a white man always wins when a black man is defeated.

The snake wrapped around the slave is representing Britain going to Africa and taking over the land and "squeezing" the resources from the land. Also in the poem in the bottom two lines it states that if a black man loses the white man always capitalizes from free labor and more prosperity for their county because of all the resources.

The less advanced black people exist to give gain and riches to the whites. the picture shows how Britian has such a tight grip on the blacks that they can't make decisions for themselves

The Brown Man's Burden shows that the white men from Europe came to Africa, forced them with threats of death for their resources and the white men gained everything the Africans lost. The picture implies that Europe is squeexing everything they have out of the Africans and their land.

The picture is showing the snake (Britain) is constricting the slave meaning that they are getting a good grip on the slave. This is because Britain is modernizing/Industrializing their country giving them guns which leads to more power and defence.
