I'm a student currently continuing my foundation studies in CFS IIUM and I'm enrolled in a course called Human Science :D

I am the 6th sibling among 6 of my siblings and I was born and raised in Banting, Selangor !

To clearly describe myself, I am known for my spontaneous and funny personality :)

1. Iman al-Tahqiqi (إيمان التحقيق)

Meaning:
This refers to the true, verified, and deeply-rooted faith. It is a level of faith where belief in Allah and all aspects of Islam is not just superficial or inherited, but fully understood, internalized, and firmly established in the heart.

Key Points:

• Based on both knowledge and conviction.

• Leads a person to be steadfast in their faith, even during trials.

• Moves beyond "Iman al-Taqlidi" (blind faith) to personal understanding and certainty.

Example:
Someone who prays because they truly understand and believe in the power and purpose of prayer, not just because their family told them to.

2. Sunnah (سنة)

Meaning:
Sunnah refers to the teachings, sayings, actions, and approvals of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH). It is the second source of Islamic law after the Qur'an.

Categories of Sunnah:

• Sunnah Qawliyyah (Sayings): Words of the Prophet.

• Sunnah Filiyyah (Actions): Things he did.

• Sunnah Taqririyyah (Approvals): Things done by others that the Prophet approved.

Importance:

• Helps Muslims understand how to practice Islam practically.

• Clarifies and explains Quranic teachings.

• Following Sunnah is a sign of loving and obeying Allah and His Messenger.

Example:
Praying two rak'ahs before Fajr is a Sunnah prayer.

3. Ikhlas (إخلاص)

Meaning:
Ikhlas means sincerity and purity of intention. It is doing everything solely for the sake of Allah, without seeking praise, recognition, or personal gain.

Key Points:

• Actions are judged by intentions (as per Hadith: "Actions are but by intentions").

• Ikhlas is the foundation of acceptance of any deed in Islam.

• Opposite of Riya' (showing off).

Example:
Giving charity without anyone knowing, only seeking Allah’s reward.

4. Salah (صلاة)

Meaning:
Salah is the ritual prayer in Islam, performed five times a day. It is a direct link between the servant and Allah.

Key Points:

• Five daily prayers: Fajr, Dhuhr, Asr, Maghrib, and Isha.

• It is the second pillar of Islam.

• It involves physical, mental, and spiritual devotion.

Purpose:

• To remember Allah.

• To seek guidance and forgiveness.

• To maintain discipline and purity in daily life.

Example:
Performing Fajr prayer at dawn with sincerity and humility.

Adab means good manners, respect, and proper conduct. In Islam, having good adab towards parents is considered one of the most important virtues and is strongly emphasized in the Qur'an and Hadith.

Importance of Adab Towards Parents in Islam:

• Obedience to parents (Birr al-Walidayn) is second only to worshipping Allah.

• Allah commands in the Qur'an:

  “And We have enjoined upon man [care] for his parents. His mother carried him, [increasing her] in weakness upon weakness, and his weaning is in two years. Be grateful to Me and to your parents; to Me is the [final] destination.”
  (Surah Luqman, 31:14)

• Mistreating parents is one of the major sins in Islam.

• The Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) said:

  “The pleasure of Allah is in the pleasure of the parents, and the displeasure of Allah is in the displeasure of the parents.”
  (Tirmidhi)

Ways to Show Adab Towards Parents:

1. Speaking Kindly and Respectfully:

• Avoid raising your voice or using harsh words.

• Address them with honor and love.

• Allah says:

  “And do not say to them [even] ‘uff’ (a word of disrespect), nor repel them, but speak to them a noble word.”
  (Surah Al-Isra, 17:23)

2. Obeying Them in Permissible Matters:

• Fulfill their requests as long as it does not involve disobedience to Allah.

• Show willingness to help them in their needs.

3. Serving and Caring for Them:

• Attend to their needs, especially in old age.

• Be patient and gentle with them.

• Prioritize their comfort and well-being.

4. Making Dua for Them:

• Pray for their good health, forgiveness, and mercy.

• Recite this dua from the Qur'an:

  “My Lord, have mercy upon them as they brought me up [when I was] small.”
  (Surah Al-Isra, 17:24)

5. Being Grateful:

• Acknowledge their sacrifices and efforts in raising you.

• Show appreciation through words and actions.

6. Continuing Good Deeds After Their Death:

• Make dua for them regularly.

• Give charity on their behalf (Sadaqah Jariyah).

• Fulfill any of their uncompleted wishes (if permissible).

Consequences of Disrespecting Parents (Uquq al-Walidayn):

• Brings Allah’s displeasure and punishment.

• Causes misfortune and hardships in life.

• Leads to a loss of barakah (blessings) in wealth, health, and time.

Examples from the Life of the Prophet (PBUH) and Companions:

• Abu Hurairah (RA) was known for his extreme care for his mother, constantly making dua for her.

• The Prophet (PBUH) emphasized the status of the mother three times over the father when asked, “Who is most deserving of my good companionship?”

Key Takeaway:

Respecting and serving parents is not just a cultural value; it is an act of worship and a way to earn Allah’s pleasure and Jannah. Even if parents are difficult, Islam encourages patience and kindness.
