I'm Phinn, an Austrian student from Viena who's spending the following semester in Madrid. I study agricultural scienes since I've a passion for growing plants, spending time outside and learning about the biology behind it all. Apart from university I enjoy cooking and baking, reading and doing sports like yoga or weight lifting. Friends would probably describe me as active, open-minded and positive-thinking, however, I'm also quite an ambitious and organized person. I grew up on the country side of Austria with the Alps on one side and a open landescape on the other, sharing a house with my parents and my older brother. Even though we all don't live under the same roof anymore, we still have a very good relationship, which I'm very grateful for. One of the caziest things I've probably ever done was leaving my home country with the age of 18 only with a backpack, a one-way ticket to Italy and the phone number of someone, who was supposed to pick me up at a train station in Tuscany. In the end I spent nearly half a year travelling through Spain and other european countries, mostly living with locals. It was an amazing experience that thought me a lot about myself, widend my horizion in every possible way and showed me the value of home. Even though I don't plan on travelling for that long on my own again, I'm still an adventurer at heart and hope to see more of the world in the years to come before eventuelly settling down somewhere quiet and living off the land.

I am currently doing my bachelor's degree in agricultral sciences at the university of life sciences and natural resources in Vienna. It is a broad study that gives me insight on different aspects regarding agriculture and lets me adjust the education based on my interests. Since it is compulsory to complete a few weeks of internships I have experience in working hands on; this summer I worked at an ecologial agriculture learning a lot about vegetable growing. For my master's degree I plan on focusing on plant protecion, since it is still widely applicable field and at the same time sparks a lot of interest in me. Since I have always enjoyed academic work as well as getting my hands dirty, I hope to also find that balance in my future carreer; maybe by working part time in the field of plant protection and at the same time growing vegetables either for self-supply or by being part of a community supported agriculture. Apart from widening my subject-specific knowledge, I also work on my language skills and am currently in Madrid to reach fluidity in speaking spanish. Another professional path I have experience in is gastronomy. I am a certified barista, have worked as a waitress, preparing and selling food at christmas markets, in a bakery and behind the bar preparing coffee as well as alcoholic beverages. Even though it might not be connected to my current study on the first glance, it taught me a wide range of skills, that are also beneficial in other carreer paths. Examples would be handling pressure, dealing with sometimes more and sometimes less friendly guests and working in a team. Regarding my characterisitc traits related to work, I would describe myself as open-minded and eager to learn, ambitious but not unrealistic, enduring and reliable.

I'm Priscila, I'm from Madrid but I was born in Uruguay. Right now I'm studying Agroambiental engineering, I would like to become an engineer to fight climate change. I have one sister that is 8 years old, and two brothers of 14 and 17 years, they're the loves of my life. Also, I have a dog called Luna, she's the cutest. I really love listent to music and feel it, I play the piano since I was 16, so I'm not too good at it. I've been working every summer since some years on now, in taking care of dogs and kids, I really enjoy animals, they're a very important part of me. When I was a kid I used to play a lot in my Nntendo 3Ds, I could be hours in my room playing Pokemon, and if I have to be honest, I would like to do it now too. I'm a very shy person, when I was litle it was so hard to me to talk with my classmates, I've always been terrified of doing new friends, but in university everything changed, my fear of making friends has desapeared. My friends describe me as a curious person, because I'm a really funny friend but when there is a person in the group that I don't know I'll shut up as if I never spoke, but I just have to give myself time to relax and speak again.

A curious fact about me is that I love garlic, everytime I see a garlic plant in the field, I go crazy.

Proffesional profile:

I am Priscila Carmenes, I'm from uruguay and I'm 21 year old. I'm currently studyind Agroambiental Engineeryng with a perspective of become an engineer and work of it. My perspective of the future is to travel around the worl, gain experience and also learn about the global problem of the climate change. In adition, I would to improve my english by traveling, because I think one of the most important things in this life is to comunicate. I am not a very socaible person but I think I have good communicative skills. If I have to describe myself in one word I would say "calm", I have always been a quite and calm person, in every aspect of my life, I try so hard to not stress on things I can not change but I am always improving myself. Furthermore, I am not as strict or ambitious as I would like, I use to be kind of clueless. In the future I would like to never stop learning, I see myself in twenty years from now still taking notes about all the important things I would learn in university of by mysel, but I can not imagine a future in an office everydays being the same.

To conclude, I would like to talk about my passion with plants, I truly love agriculture, and also lear every day of my life about how they grow or how they have to be planted.
