It is built on the words and life of Jesus of Nazareth, also known as Jesus Christ. He was a Jewish carpenter. He was born in a stable, died on a cross at age 33, and owned nothing. Their beliefs are based off of historical events. 
   Christians worship on Sunday, the holy day. They worship in churches and cathedrals. They sit in pews, standing and/or kneeling on occasion. Some important Christian rituals include baptism and communion. There is no specific dress code that Christians follow, though usually the faithful dress formally on Sundays.
Important Christian Holidays include Christmas and Easter. Christmas is celebrated on December 25. It is Jesus' birthday. Easter is celebrated sometime between April and May. It is to celebrate Jesus' resurrection.
   Christians have one holy book, called The Bible. The bible is made up of two parts, The Old Testament, and The New Testament. The word "Bible" is Greek for the books. It is believed by Christians that The Bible is the word of God that has been written by men.
   Christianity is the largest religion in the world, with 2.1 billion followers. It is further divided into about twenty-two thousand different denominations, which also makes it the most divided religion in the world. Christians live all around the globe. The heaviest population of Christians is in Europe, North America, and South America.
