         <description><![CDATA[<p>Group Name: Arav Shah, Sophia Curing, Evan Landis, &amp; Alexa Henson</p><ol><li><p>In the lottery, the author wrote, "the villagers pronounced this name 'Dellacroy'"(Jackson 1). The allusion means "of the cross" from the bible. The allusion foreshadows the death that will occur later in the story as Jesus sacrificed himself for the safety of the rest of his people.</p></li></ol>]]></description>

This specific last name translates to "of the cross", alluding to the Bible, which contrasts from the plot of the story.</p></li><li><p> In the "Third and Final Continent" it alludes to a real world event of the moon landing by Mrs. Croft stating, "A flag on the moon!" It layers in realism to the story by setting the time period, and how they would react, even being fictional.</p></li></ol>]]></description>
