in your own words explain Julia Isacc`s study and what we learn about conditions for African –americans in America today 
-she focuses on the black families and especially for the large group of African-Amerians who moved up and into the middle class following the hard fought gains of the 1950s and 1960s.
Downward mobility is harder especially on black middle class families. According to Julia, only 31 percent of afro American kids earn more than their parents compared to 68 percent of the white kids earning better than their parents. 
Income of the white people has been the same for the past 3 decades and the only increase in the income has been due to the women working in the family. The current generation of black men in their 30s actually earn less than their fathers did in the mid 1970s.
The black white income gap has increased over time. It has gone down from 66% to 58% from the year 1974 to 2004 for the black families compared to the white ones.
 
 
Intergenerational assistance is the study, that considers how the number of sisters and brothers affects the flow of aid from older parents to adult children. Adults with more sisters tend to receive less assistance from their older parents.
