I think my book is a Utopian/distopian fiction but also somewhat of a romance novel. I say this because in this book the society dictates every single thing that effects the people even though it wouldn't seem like it if you didn't pay enough attention. I also say its a romance novel because in this book you are matched to be someones partner for the rest of both of your lives and Cassia (the main character) ends up falling in love with an aberration named Ky who in society with his classification, isn't supposed to be matched with anyone.

The is also trying to find out about his missing brother, the mysterious camp, and ancient magic by looking at clues and solving the pieces, just like his brother in The Midnight Sun, and organisation that kidnaps synthetic (or synesthesia diagnosed children: the confusion/mix of the senses) children for finding secrets about immorality.

I would say that "My Side of the Mountain"by Jean Craighead George is man versus nature because Sam is in the woods unexperienced and is learning against nature. He has learned how to hunt, has made a home, and is currently training a falcon. I think this is a realistic fiction book because people have run away into woods before and survived and the learning on the go is very life like. I also think that the reason why I feel like this is realistic fiction is because of the amount of detail and I really get a clear picture of the tree hut house thing.

This book genre is realistic fiction because White Fang is a wolf cub in the Wild and it's shown from his point of view. Being a natural creature from the Wild, White Fang cannot talk (unlike most fiction books about animals) and most of the book is very descriptive because of what White Fang sees through his eyes, and describing what humans are is very interesting as well.
(adventure fiction?)

I think this book is considered realistic fiction right now because nothing too over the top has happened yet. All that has happened is a boy went on a plane, the pilot had a heart attack, and he is now flying the plane. It's not like he is an expert, but the pilot showed him a bit about the plane so he knows how to steer, but that's it. I think it is realistic fiction because everything that has happened could happen.

I am reading Headstrong: 52 Women Who Changed Science and the World lent to me by. . . you guessed it, Mrs. Couillard! It is nonfiction, broken up into sections such as medicine, environment, math, etc. Within each of these are the true stories of individual women and how their work impacted the world. Although nonfiction and factual, each chapter reads like a little story. Fascinating!
