Death as a form of entertainment: Public punishment of criminals was a common form of entertainment in Europe, mainly beheadings and hanging until the 19th century.

2.  The history of entertainment shows us how it has evolved and has remained until today, we could describe each stage indicating that as new forms of entertainment were adopted, the previous ones continued to be part of this way of spending time that were modernized thanks to technology, an example of this is the theater was an invention during the ancient age that began with storytellers, compositions of poems was dragging to the theaters that still remain but that have been transformed in our days to the cinema. 

The Middle Ages were marked mainly by the leisure of the monks and their activities such as banquets and sports such as martial arts tournaments. 

In the modern age, we find scenarios again as the theater, the Spanish bullfights, cockfighting and interest in reading literature.

During the 18th century, we encounter tea talks, love for classical music, opera, dancing and chess; 

Later, in the contemporary age, trips to the beach, resorts, walks that could be more distant thanks to the invention of vehicles that gave way to driving also became a form of entertainment, professional and amateur sports. 

In the depression due to the economic downturns of society and thanks to the legalization of alcohol this was one of the recurrent forms of entertainment, as well as the expansion of cinema and theater plays. 

Finally, the entertainment in the post-industrial stage is highlighted by technological devices.
