It suggests that destructive forces will come into play and disrupt the lives of the characters.

3.

On a rare occasion of light snowfall, school is unexpectedly closed. Jem and Scout take the opportunity to gather snow from Miss Maudie's yard and construct a small figure using dirt as its base, which they cover with snow. The figure resembles their neighbor, Mr. Avery, who is known for his unpleasantness. However, when Atticus discovers the strong resemblance, he insists that they disguise it. Jem solves the issue by placing Miss Maudie's sunhat on the figure's head and placing her hedge clippers in its hands, much to Miss Maudie's dismay.

Later that night, Atticus wakes up Scout and assists her in putting on her bathrobe and coat.
