  • Calvin has a vast imagination. His best friend is Hobbes a stuffed animal that can come alive. He seeks help from Hobbes rather than his parents or others.
  • Calvin can be anti-social  and  does not participate in any groups or activities. 
  • He has said that he wishes he was dead, but then adds that he wishes that everyone else was dead. 
  • Calvin has fantasized about his school being attacked by a pack of dinosaurs and even him blowing up his school in a jet.

  • The possibility of a new diagnosis in the DSM called Attenuated Psychosis Syndrome has currently been a controversial topic relating to schizophrenia and other psychotic disorders. This would be given to someone who experiences symptoms of schizophrenia such as hallucinations but is fully aware of their abnormal experience (Barlow & Durand, 2014).
