The clear desk policy ensures we leave clean and clear desks at the end of every day. Meaning we tidy away anything that we have brought with us, used in the day or dispose of any rubbish we have made and tidy away any documents or things for your job that need to be kept in a safe secure place.

By following a Clean desk policy it means you are leaving your work environment tidy and ready to work from the next day and you're leaving your work space secure and safe. This helps achieve better performance at work as your environment is in top condition and it leaves less distractions around you. Not only that but it helps your coworkers to come into a cleaner safer environment too. It also helps reduce germs and bacteria from waste and rubbish.

By ignoring a clean desk policy you risk having a very messy, unorganised and unhealthy work space. The wrong environment can have an impact on your mental health, your productivity and your general feelings towards work resulting in poor performance.
