We met at Tullan Strand car park above the beach. We got dressed into our wetsuits and split into four groups and my group started by going surfing. The surfing was a lot of fun. 


  We then got changed into our normal clothes and played a series of bonding games on the beach. We played a game where we stood in a circle and we had to move places every time a particular trait we possess is called out, one person starts in the centre and they call out the traits. The aim is to not be in the centre. We then played a version of the game stuck in the mud. After we played prison break. 


   We now went downtown or home for lunch, and then met up at the main beach to get ready for the next activities. 


 My team started the second half of the day with raft building. We were split into two groups. We were given two barrels, four or five planks of wood and some rope to build a raft that would hopefully float in the thrupenny pool. We then timed how long it took to get it across the pool. My team was the fastest so we won. 


  The final activity for the day was cliff jumping. We walked to the main beach and went to the diving boards. There were four different places you could jump from. I jumped from the lowest places but there was a slightly higher one and massive top rock. There was also a spot you could dive from but from the rest you had to just jump. I jumped in a few times then we all floated in the water for a while. 


  Finally it was time to go and we all swam down to the beach.


  Overall the day was great craic and i got to chat to lots of people i wouldn't normally talk to that muc. I did 25000 steps that day and I fell asleep very early that night.

We were away from morning until lunch time. 


  We set off in the morning and headed as a group towards American house and went down the steps beside it. We had a worksheet to fill in and the first few questions began here. 


  Once we filled in out questions for that area we followed the coastline towards the main beach. The tide was very low so we could sea sand bar had formed on the beach, we filled this into our worksheets and moved on long the promenade  and ug the hill of rougey walk. We went around rougey and along the way saw some dolphins in the water. It was a very beautiful day so we could see everything very clearly.


  We made out way down the hill to tullan strand beach and did a wave frequency count then after a while returned up the hill to get our lunch and return to school.


 It was a lot of fun because we could chat along the way but it was also educational.

 We first were lined up in order of our first names (a-z) and split into groups. We asked each other five questions (The questions were: Why did we choose ty, What was our choice of work experience, What did we want to do in college, what jobs did our family members do and what personal skills do we have.)

  It was nice to be spilt up and have a chat with people we wouldn’t normally chat with as I find this difficult.

  Cryptography is the writing and and solving of code. 


  It is something I would not normally know anything about it have studied but I found it very interesting.


  We then watched a movie called “The Imitation Game” to help us further understand the topic and this was fun and something different to be at.

  We were given a booklet and a book to write in and follow as we went.


 We started off by talking about a lot of important topics such as :

Bad thoughts we may have.

How to battle the bad thoughts that make us sad.

Helping us understand how our brain works.

And how we feel about different things

  We were split into groups of five or six and I was in group three. 


  The aim was to figure out riddles whose answer is the location where we need to take a selfie as a group. Whoever got all the correct locations within the quickest time wins.


  A group was taken out every five minutes and was allowed to take a photo of the list of riddles.


  We quickly left and figured out that the first place was lidl so we got there as fast as possible, next was dizzies den, then a hotel near max amusements, then the seaweed baths, then the shell at Bundoran main beach and finally the foxes lair. We returned to the school within 28 minutes and we got third place.

  We learned what to do if you found yourself in trouble in the water and not to panic if you fall into cold water.


  When you fall into cold water you get cold water shock and we learned how to not panic if this happens and the best way to sort ourselves.


  We learned what the best way to float in water is and what to do if someone is drowning or gets into difficulty in the water.

  Today we learned about things that make us happy and the importance of being close to people. We also made paper airplanes and that activity was to show how things can bring up the mood of you and your class and we discussed the things that make us happy. 


I was sad that this was the last day of the course as i really enjoyed it and Colleen was very nice.

  Everyone had to dress up and I dressed up as the 13th doctor from doctor who. 

  We started off by playing a version of the game show the cube which was organised by some boys in our year. This was a lot of fun. My favourite of the games was where we had to stack and un-stack a few cups in under 18 seconds. 

  We then had a break and played some Halloween games in rooms one and two.

  In the first game we had to pop a balloon and take a dare from it, I had to eat a spoon of ketchup.

  The next game was pin the thumb tac on the witch and the Skelton Caoimhe and I made. 

  It was also it friend Megan’s last day so we got her a card and we signed it for her
