         <description><![CDATA[<div>Bethany has three chickens. When she checked the chicken coop, she found 21 eggs.&nbsp;<br>Bethany knows that each of her chickens only lay eggs in odd amounts (e.g. 1, 3, 5 etc.).&nbsp;</div><div>1.&nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;How many eggs could of each of the hens laid? Write out as many combinations as possible.</div><div>2.&nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;Bethany realised that only one of her chickens lays eggs in odd amounts while the other two lay eggs in equal amounts (e.g. 2, 4, 6 etc.). How many eggs could each of the hens had laid now?</div><div>When completing this question, students should use counters to help them keep track of the number of eggs laid by each hen and the possible combinations. Students should also include the strategies used to find the solutions.</div>]]></description>
