Social media and technology play a huge role in branding in marketing by showing everyone advertisements. Social media gives us access to unlimited brand accounts posting about how great their product is. Brands also know their audience and their interests so they entice them whenever someone scrolls on their feed and sees a product they like.

In a sense the video is showing or telling us that we have no privacy from these social networks we are experiments that are only getting more and more fooled as we spend time and interact with these applications as we feel these attractions of comfort and a feeling of belonging when the device disappears from our hands we enter a desperate sense of comfort and all we search for is a screen to watch. Never an activity that involves some kind of physical movement. I am now realizing this due to the technology that the video exposed to us getting our data sending notifications about random things trying to control your attention by using a system that knows what you are attracted to and what you want based on the data they have taken from your device. Every Notification that hits your phone from any social media platform contains something you like never anything you don't like. This is constantly attracting your attention from your surroundings.

One way that social media platforms and technology have been created is by showing users content that appeals to their interests. Once they appeal to the user's interest, whether that's sports, news, hobbies, and more, the user will be drawn more deeply into social media and technology. This was shown in the film "The Social Dilemma" when the boy was drawn to his phone because of the content that was being shown to him, whether it was the girl he liked or towards the end when he was drawn to the protests and theories. This relates to how branding works because many companies tend to want to attract consumers and they do so by showing details on their advertisements that can appeal to the consumers. It can appeal to consumers emotionally, logistically, and even using credibility such as celebrities. Not only do they want to attract consumers attention but they want them to be fully drawn in, making one eventually be a loyal consumer.

One way that social media platforms and technology have been created/ function, relate to how branding works is to feed into individuals' interests and function in a way for consumers to be content with their product. It relates to how branding works because just as technology plays into people's interests to get them hooked. Branding does as such to have consumers be interested in their product and be a potential buyer and have them hooked onto their brand. An example of appealing to a consumer interest is in the documentary "The Social Dilemma" using one of the characters to showcase how one's interests can be used by technology and submerge an individual with content they like to keep them hooked. This can also be said with brands as they appeal to many different audiences to have them hooked.

They collect data on the preferences and behaviors of their users and use it to provide content and advertising so it can appeal to that specific individual making it more likely for the individual to engage with the platform. This creates a sense of loyalty and attachment which is similar to how successful branding creates a connection between a product or company with its consumers.

Social media platforms and technology have been evolving together, rapidly. Their functions are related because technology uses an algorithm that is integrated into their platforms which has the sole purpose of predicting what you're going to be interested in. Social media uses technology to garner the consumer's attention and manipulate with different tactics to pursue its goals. Branding's main goal is for a company to whisper in everyone's ears, "Pick me," and with the technology, that's the goal of the algorithm. Social media and technology work hand and hand because the idea of branding is that you encourage the consumers to purchase something, despite of its quality. The documentary, "The Social Dilemma", says "The algorithm can convince people of false ideas." That would entail the way branding is easily down through the media and technology. Social media is the platform, and the algorithm is what's tying the consumer to it, pursuing them of things that'll keep them engaged.

Social media and technology both relate to how branding works by showing us users things we will engage with. In Social Dilemma they mention how technology can analyze all of our interest, they put all of our interest in our feed so we can get hooked. For an example tiktok, we have a ¨for you¨ page that is all of our interest. People can spend hours on it due to it being created just for them. Just as branding, they create things that will be eye taking.

The documentary explains how we are completely unaware of how companies/brands use our data to analyze our behaviors and reactions. This strategy helps promote more advertisements and what companies/brands want you to see, to reciprocate a specific behavior from us. This means that companies feed us with what we are most entertained by because it easily catches our attention. Just like in the video the boy's data was studied and his every move was predictable because he was easily distracted and engaged to interact with the platform where the algorithm feed was based off his own interests.

Social media platforms and technology have been created to learn from what the user is interested in whether it's sports, gaming, and even shopping. In the Netflix documentary "The Social Dilemma" we can have the sense that they are communicating with us of what could and might happen if we keep being addicted to any social media platforms or to technology. If we keep on following this addiction we will just keep feeding AI into making an exact copy of the person and having it smarter than we can ever be. By this, branding is important to any platforms and technology out there by how they will connect to their customers and keep gaining their loyalty. By this it will keep bringing in consumers that have gained the trust of the brand and will keep shopping there by how the platforms were able to connect with their emotions and feelings.

Social media is so accessible and easy to manage and that's how the apps get so big to begin with. Social media apps are so open to the internet that someone is available to search up anything of any interest, which is how marketing begins. If someone searches a topic on the internet browser the algorithm will know the interest of that person and will get endless ads of that specific topic. For example if someone searches up dog videos the algorithm will show up ads of brands for necessities for dogs.

Just like branding, social media platforms and technology allow companies and individuals to establish and maintain a certain image or identity. Through strategic use of these platforms, businesses can effectively communicate their brand message, values, and offerings to a wide audience. Additionally, social media platforms and technology provide opportunities for engagement and interaction with customers, allowing for the building of brand loyalty and advocacy.

When a user shows a patern in what they are viewing, the algorythm uses that information to find similiar topics, videos,or pictures to give the user a reason to stay connected to their devices. This is a form of manipulation, that gets users to be online for as long as possible, making the company gain more money.

For example, nowadays social media can tell if you are feeling sad or happy based on whatever you are watching on your phone, social has so much influence on how you act that they also play with the information they know about you so they can little by little introduce ideas or products into your feed. this is important because it shows the connection between branding and social media by persuading their users and consumers to have a certain idea or perspective on anything they are being exposed to.

From the documentary, my idea that came up was how huge technology is for someone's life. It showed us how fast it has grown and how they haven't also seen the bad stuff that was occurring and grown so fast. It also shows us how technology is and has been controlling us for a while and right now people are still finding ways to stop this and reduce what has been happening. So the film showed us so many ways how they are branding their stuff. These tactics stuck out to me and will always be in my head I like the part where they say something like "If you are not buying anything from the company then you are the product." So this huge tactic that they are using comes from how they also said they are trying to get our attention and how many hours and how much they can get from our time to give to them and they said is who going to come out and win this war. Is huge how they use tactics as well by seeing their data because is all saved and shows them what type of stuff people will like about and how they give us so many recommended stuff in our feed. Also, they use their data and use different ways to get people's attention to use their apps more often and get their time into them and that's how companies are winning over you.

Platforms such as Google, Instagram, Facebook, Tiktok, Amazon, etc. carry a big positive or negative influence/impact from one individual to the other. This episode demonstrates the different Branding technics, data, competition, and emotions that comes across the tech, and branding industry. An example of this is when apps get the data from the things you like, time for how long your on them for , the things you buy and trade. When this happens the data gets brought back into branding to know what to show, how to get your attention, or try to get a deep connection with you.

AI in applications such as Facebook, Instagram, Snapchat, etc. projects the consumer's wants based on old posts that have been liked by the consumer. Social media marketing strengthens sales which allows the company to sell more products. For instance "The Social Dilemma" demonstrates how when a person signs up for a social media account they are technically signing up to have personal information provided to various companies with the goal of sales tactics. This allows one to see how through social media businesses are allowed to spread their production utilizing various advertisements, this makes the consumer being targeted want to come back for more. Even when demonstrating new products the consumers get interested creating new interests for them.

This relates to branding because it focuses on feeding off that by looking into a certain persons interest to create commercials that would encourage someone to buy whatever product is being shown on the ad. Social media has a very big audience so they team up with various companies to help push their product. All they have to do is fill your screen up with dopamine hits and give you an ad right after targeting you while you are in good graces so that you end up buying this certain product. Social media and branding's sole purpose is to keep the audience coming back consistently.

The film, 'The Social Dilemma' allows one to see how social media and branding connect. Social media sells our attention to many brands to help get more customers. The A.I program in social media platforms to help brands find their targeted audience branding image. The A.I can find out what the customer's interests and values are. They take advantage of users because they are programmed for one thing and one thing only, catch the viewer's attention. Each branding has its own image and message, and the social media platforms get paid for the attention of users who have a high likelihood of getting hooked. An example of this is when you are scrolling on Instagram and seeing cat videos because you own cats. Then you see an ad about a brand that emphasizes their love for helping stray cats in the ad to make them feel benevolent. They then show off their products that are reasonably priced, and oh you might need a new cat bowl because your old one is bland. This shows how the AI first learned of the customer's pet maybe by seeing their post of their cat or a post they like. Then it will be told to find customers who love cats.

There are talks that social media and technology have been indecisive about playing huge roles in marketing and branding. These both create the advertisements that we people receive all the time, which gives us insight into how many ads on products. Every like you make or whatever you look at is going to be advertised to you, which creates ads to get the person's attention to make them enthusiastic about it. To examine this issue Facebook is a prime example, one would like multiple pictures of cats and then later see more photos of cats due to the algorithm of Facebook. Creating traffic of things you liked on Facebook and putting them on your feed, Relating to logos and jiggles as these two intertwine with each other as people will be hooked onto them and will never seem to forget it. Subjecting to a younger audience that could evaluate how they think or respond to the ad that is produce for them.

Social media uses a algorithm to recommend post of your interest. Meaning everything we search up or watch goes into this system where the company uses this information to get us consumers to watch/buy products of our liking to make them more money. These methods used by companies help brand themselves and others helping the rich get more richer while people like us who don't have as much money stay the same. Companies knowing we are easily influenced by social media gives them an advantage on our interest giving a better idea of what these individuals would purchase. Social media apps are controlling our day to day life and influencing us on false information as well. These videos are recommended or pop up on your feed when you are easily intrigued. The algorithm brands these videos because of your interest and if you are easily fooled you become accustomed to false information. So many individuals are affected by this because of today's society, everyone including children have phones nowadays and are glued to these devices creating a false sense of reality.

One way that social media platforms have been created relates to how branding works because of things like AI and algorithms that track the types of feeds you like and bring you more ads and videos similar to them. This ties into branding because branding is what companies use to get their products out to the people in things like advertisements and commercials that get people to want to buy their products. How AI and algorithms work is by generating feeds that are unique to you to get you to keep opening apps like Twitter and Facebook so the companies make more money. The more you interact and are influenced by these social media platforms the more you are willing to fall victim to keep opening the app and influencing others to do the same.
