They then have to create a solution and build their example of the solution (physical representation).  Students put all their reasoning onto a website.  At the end of the project students will presenting their findings and show their product.</div>]]></description>

Then students solve and say how they solved it and why they made that claim. (Could give a little more that the actual surface area and explain why they wanted a little left over)<br><br></div>]]></description>

Even now, most African-American singers do not have access to opera. <br><strong>Reasoning</strong>: Expense of being classically trained for opera, location of training, fluency in another language are barriers for why most African-Americans do not have access to opera.          <description><![CDATA[<div>When performing any type of experiment students are asked to make a prediction of the outcome of the experiment.&nbsp; This could be viewed as the claim.&nbsp; Collecting the data is often the evidence used to form a conclusion.&nbsp; Reasoning often times leads to more questioning since there are often many variables that effect the results.&nbsp; Reasoning is often a result of analyzing a graph. &nbsp;<br>We have found it beneficial to provide sentence starters that help lead students in their writing.  Getting them started is often the hardest part.  Helping them with the sentence structure usually leads to more in depth answers.</div>]]></description>
