-There are many things that companies can do to help prevent injury and often times employees don't follow all of the steps to protect themselves. I want to know how much the company is liable is the worker is only wearing half or 3/4s of their protective gear.

In my research this week I learned that Occupational Safety and Health Administration has a big say in day-to-day operations in the workplace. A company is required to meet certain minimum safety concerns that are determined by OSHA and if the business isn't following it could be fined a minimum of $5,000. Just following these safety requirements could prevent the company from having to pay the employee if they get hurt because the company is following the safety requirements. As worker's compensation is provided if an employee gets injured on the job or has an illness from working. I was very interested to learn that, "All workers whose jobs make exposure to COVID-19 possible or likely. The order does not give a presumption of coverage but defines COVID-19 as an occupational disease making it coverable by worker's compensation under the regular process of filing a claim" (Cunningham, 2022). I was shocked to learn that you could get worker's compensation for getting COVID-19 at work, I figured you would just receive sick pay.
References:

Cunningham, J.
