I found David very interesting in the way he interacted with students. I too try to elicit information but I see David uses it a lot in class and he has a lot more patience  in waiting for answers. I also like the way he handles group work using technology in that he was very good about assigning activities which made students work together. For example with the corpus he had the them use the three different websites to find information about words and had them discover which words and collocations were important for them. I used it to discuss ethnic restaurants, Italian restaurants and places to go out to at night. I'll use it again to create real discussions about ideas we start in a lesson.

I learned that I didnt know a lot about the tech of teaching as I moved through the course. One of the terrors I have as I get older is that I will be left behind in the dust as regards technology.  I might have students comment on a cloud project for example on an invented education reform articulated in the document in different points. This way it wouldn't be an extended writing project but it would stimulate them to write something.

  • First of all students can hook up to a listening exercise on the internet and work though at their own  pace in class likee Dave did. 
  • I like the suggestion about using Google maps to create a presentation of a town.
  • I would also be good to send me a recording for a presentation.
