As AI tools become more capable of automating tasks like grading, creating content, or providing personalized feedback, the traditional functions of teachers are no longer the core of their profession. Instead, the teacher is evolving into a learning guide, emotional supporter, and ethical role model who helps students navigate an increasingly complex digital world.

In this new educational landscape, the teacher's role is not diminished but transformed. Human interaction, empathy, cultural awareness, and critical thinking are qualities that AI cannot replicate. English teachers, in particular, are essential in promoting communication, collaboration, and creativity—skills that go beyond grammar and vocabulary. The teacher now acts as a mediator between technology and human development, using AI as a tool, not a replacement.
