       I think that there are some ramifications on extreme emphasis on the Gaoko tests like
the Student's mental health takes a toll.
My  evidence to support this claim is "Xu holed up in a hotel near the exam site in Lu'an city and didn't emerge for 48 hours. "My parents thought I was a maniac he said."

I disagree with the severity of standardized testing because teachers have it super bad. They also feel so much pressure to make their students do well that sometimes they might even do unlawful things like telling them answers or just editing their answers and changing their scores to make them higher so they aren't shamed by higher positions in the school or even the parents and they might get bonuses/raises if they make students pass. The ramifications of putting extensive emphasis on standardized test can affect teachers, too. Former Atlanta teachers were arrested because they were found guilty of faking test scores. They did this because they felt the need to make sure there students did good because if they didn't they could be fired or publicly humiliated. These punishments came from higher ups of the school district who wanted the public image of their schools to look good, not actually caring about the education of the students. Countries across the world have different philosophies toward education as whole. Some countries place priority on creative learning to teach children their own skill set that they desire, not the standard math and science. Other countries, however, place math and science at utmost importance. A country that would fall into this standard would be Hong Kong. Hong Kong's education system revolves around standardized tests, an relies on them to evaluate students academic performance in all classes, even classes meant to expand ones creativity. The problem here is that since everything is evaluated by standardized tests, there occurrence causes a lot of stress amongst students,  potentially even teachers. So have come to describe this practice of only standardized tests uninspiring and even painful, I can also image it also affecting a students mental health severely.        I think we should take our learning in a more creative matter so the children can have fun and still be learning so that way the kids will not feel it as a burden to go to school but as somwthing fun and that way more students will participate so more students will learn and then they will get better grades and the U.S. might become better at education than it was before.
